Midterm Boards - SciArc

Photobucket Photobucket Photobucket

This project is a bus station for the San Francisco bay terminal.  The site is located just off the Bay Bridge in SF.  Our goal was to create a bus station / fueling hub for the SF bus fleet.  The fleet currently runs off of biodiesel, the project aims to create biofuel through the use of algae.  The station will not only produce it’s own algae, it will also refine and fuel the buses as they load passengers.  Although the drawings don’t show it too well, one of the goals for the project is to implement a solar chimney along with a geothermal stack to aid in the production and refinement of the algae and the biofuels they can create.  The second board shows the thermal range and flow the building is intended to have.  Created with my partner Michael Young, a delightful brown eyed Brazilian chap.
